Full Job Description:

A Beginning Tumbling Instructor will help children develop agility. balance, endurance, and coordination through physical activities, along with teaching elementary level gymnastic skills such as forward and backward rolls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design lessons for motor skill development
  • Set up equipment and take down equipment; keeping inventory.
  • Design warmup exercises and explain safety procedures.
  • Grouping participants in like abilities
  • Develop creative activities for fun and development of skills.
  • Design a variety of challenging obstacle courses for children.
  • Ability to coach and motivate youth in an open gym area.
  • Help all ages develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a patient and positive attitude.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Coaching or related experience in working with youth.
  • Possesses knowledge of the basic tumbling techniques and how to teach them.
  • Ability to teach with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills and enforce safety guidelines.
  • Background in fitness, sports, or physical education.
  • Strong communication skills and high energy.
